A Study on the Scope, History and Collection of Vietnamese Taoist Literature

Abstract: Based on the definition of the reseatch scope of Vietnamese Taoist literature, this paper sorts out the records of Vietnamese Taoist literature in the historical classics of China and Vietnam, and introduces in detail the current collection of Vietnamese Taoist literature, mainly including libraries in Vietnam, France, Japan, Thailand, China and other places. Through the collation of Vietnamese Taoist literature, it is not only conducive to understanding the characteristics of religious belief and cultural conditions of modern Vietnamese, but also can provide new documentary materials for studying the history of the dissemination of Chinese Taoism in Vietnam and the way Vietnamese accept Chinese Taoist culture.
