The Completion of the 17th Century Japanese Daoist Literature Taorui Bian

Abstract: Taorui Bian(《桃蕊編》) is a Daoist Literature about the immortal Chen Tuan, which was compiled by the order of Reigen Tennō in the Edo period of Japan. The Reigen Tennō attached great importance to the writing of this book and summoned the most influential Zen monks of the Huangbo sect and the royal family members to write the manuscript. Since the spread of Taorui Bian, it has been influential in the Huangbo sect and the Japanese imperial family.
