Abstract: On the basis of previous studies, this article makes a textual research and analysis on the problem of the completion time of "Huan Zhenren Ascended to Immortals"(桓真人昇仙記), thinking that should be written in the Northern Song Dynasty. In this paper, five evidences are listed: first, the theory of "The Three Water Officials"(水府三官)mentioned in the text is only seen in the Five Dynasties; second, the practice of “Silent Audience of the Supreme God”(默朝上帝)is a classic practice of the Song Dynasty; third, the protagonist of this scripture is impossible to be the work of the six dynasties; fourth, the protagonist Huan Kai is a fictional person in later generations, and there is no such person in the Six Dynasties. Fifth, through the mouth of Li Huan Xian Jun in the scripture, it made more comments on Tao Hongjing, praising Huan and dismissing Tao, which was actually a move to develop the New Daoist School in the Song Dynasty.

Key words: The Three Water Officials, Silent Audience of the Supreme God, Huan (fa)Kai, Tao Hongjing
