Abstract: Daoist morality books are morally persuasive books with distinctive characteristics in Chinese history, and "excessive use" is an important ideological basis. The formation of the idea of “excessive use” of Daoist morality books is closely related to the idea of persuading benevolence in traditional Chinese culture and the basic ideas of early institutional Daoist classics. The various inherent demands contained in Daoist morality books have been widely used and applied in Daoist morality books, and gradually "giving birth" Daoism morality books of merit and demerit. It can be seen that the idea of "excessive work" is of great significance both in the construction of the Daoist benevolence ideological system and in the concrete teaching practice.
